About the Event
The MOAA Santee-Wateree Chapter held its Oktoberfest Dinner Meeting at the Carolina Skies Club on October 14, 2011. With a background of German ompah band music, the guests dined on sliced beef fillet, bratwurst and sauerkraut, potato croquettes, red cabbage and caramel apple ice cream. After dinner, the slate of chapter officers for 2012 was presented to the members and elected by unanimous consent. Jackie Olsen explained the Wreaths Across America Program which honors gravesites of vets with memorial wreaths. Thirty-eight members and guests attended the dinner. The German music and camaraderie gave the guests an entertaining and enjoyable evening.
